The Anambra State Police Command have arrested four robbers who allegedly raided and forcefully had intercourse with two ladies in a hotel.
It was reported that, the robbers made away with valuables after storming the hotel on Sunday and forcefully having intercourse with two ladies before leaving.
Mr Haruna Muhammed, the state Police Public Relations Officer, who confirmed the incident in a statement, stated that, the robbers were subsequently arrested after the police critically looked into the CCTV footage in the hotel.
However, one Charles Nwammadu reported on Monday at the Mgbaku police station, at about 1am that robbers climbed the fence of a hotel called, Prince Charles Hotel in Akwa North Local Government area of Anambra State and made away with customers phones and valuables, the PPRO said.
“with the help of the CCTV installed in the hotel we were able to apprehend the four robbers.
“investigation is currently ongoing and the suspects are helping the police unravel more important information after which they will be charged to court.”
Mohammed added that the state Commissioner of Police, John Abang, advise hoteliers to immediately install CCTV cameras in their premises, as a matter of urgency.
